The Rotary Club of Nara’s visit to Canberra and the 90th anniversary celebrations of the Rotary Club of Canberra

On Friday 15 June, the Ambassador and Mrs Kusaka welcomed a delegation from the Rotary Club of Nara to their residence during their visit to Canberra for the 90th anniversary celebrations of their sister club, the Rotary Club of Canberra. In his welcome remarks, Ambassador Kusaka commended the Rotary Club of Canberra for their achievements over the last nine decades and expressed his appreciation for their efforts with the Rotary Club of Nara in promoting the Canberra-Nara sister city relationship at a grassroots level.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, the Ambassador and Mrs Kusaka joined the presidents of the Rotary clubs in a prayer for everlasting peace and the ringing of the Canberra Rotary Bell in Canberra Nara Peace Park on Saturday 16 June.
The Embassy of Japan will continue to support exchange between the Rotary clubs of Canberra and Nara as well as the further deepening of friendship and collaborative relationship between our sister cities of Canberra and Nara.
